Cameras like these already have an UVC mode but do not tell the operating system about this fact.

The udev rules are only required for USB2.0 CCD cameras.

Installing UDEV rules

First of all, tiscamera must be built and installed.

To install the udev rules execute the following commands in a terminal:

cd tiscamera 
sudo cp build/data/udev/80-theimagingsource-cameras.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/
sudo service udev restart

Your system should now correctly identify your camera.
